This Web site, www.cacpa.org is that of the Cuban-American CPA Association (CACPA). This statement governs the privacy practices used on this website.

Collection and Disclosing Information

The CACPA Web Site has many sections that are open to all users, with no registration required. For these sections, our Web server contains no software that automatically tracks e-mail addresses of users. However, our Web server does track domain names for security purposes and for information regarding the nature and extent of our website's usage.

Users are not required to disclose any personal information in order to view our site. The CACPA may gather some personal identifiable information when it is voluntarily submitted by the user. The types of information collected may include your name, email address, phone number, and postal address. This information is used for its intended purpose, and to better serve the users. All personally identifiable information obtained from users is treated with great care in order to protect your privacy and security. The information volunteered is used solely by the CACPA and will not be shared with unrelated outside parties.

From time to time, we may use your address, phone number or e-mail address to provide you with updates and other information we think may be of interest to you. Your ability to opt out of such information is discussed below.

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail. We do not currently sell e-mail addresses to any third party.

We also collect information volunteered by users in relation to an on-line survey and/or site registrations. This information is kept confidential by the CACPA and is not used for purposes outside of the intent of the survey or registration form.

This site may contain links to other sites. We strive to protect your information and suggest you read the privacy policies of the site before supplying any personal information.

Restricted Access

Some areas of the site are password-protected for specific user groups, such as members of a particular publication. For those areas, CACPA disseminates the username and password to the members of these user groups; no online registration is required.

The CACPA treats all personally identifiable information collected on our Web site as securely as possible. We use Secure Socket Layer encryption on all forms that require submission through electronic data transfer. Use of this site, with respect to privacy, is covered by binding arbitration. Users of the site are encouraged to report any suspected breach of privacy. All reports of suspected breach of privacy concerns will be followed up within 24 hours. Information collected related to the potential breach will be identified and excluded from use until an acceptable resolution has been reached. The suspected breach of privacy will be investigated by CACPA with the security operations of this web site. Findings of the investigation will be communicated to the user reporting the suspected breach by employing the same vehicle the suspected breach was reported to CACPA.

Opting Out

If you supply us with your postal address, phone number, or e-mail address, you may receive periodic communications from the CACPA via the same medium. The communications will provide information on services available or upcoming events.
